Since Toni Volpe joined Renantis as CEO in 2016, a major transformation of the energy landscape has taken place.

Toni Volpe leads the Group in achieving its mission: to build a better future for all, by powering people’s everyday lives with care.

Born in Salerno in 1972, he graduated cum laude from the “Politecnico” of Milan in Management, Industrial and Economics Engineering in 1997 and obtained an MBA from Columbia University’s School of Business, New York in 2002.

He began his professional career at Decathlon in France, before moving into management consultancy in 1998 at Bain & Company in Milan. He transitioned to the energy sector in 2004, joining the corporate strategy department of Enel Group in Rome. He became CEO and Chairman of Enel Green Power North America in 2005 assuming several other roles during his tenure with Enel. As CEO of Enel Romania in Bucharest, Toni managed the largest DSO in the country and several other businesses concurrently.

He spent a two-year stint as a member of the Board of Wind Europe beginning in 2020 and in 2021, he was appointed as an independent director of Shoals Technologies, listed on Nasdaq.

Toni was awarded CEO of the year – Green Energy category at the 2021 CEO Awards, hosted by Forbes, Italy.
