24 October 2022 – On 27 October, Falck Renewables will take part in GreenVesting Forum 2022, an event organised by Ener2Crowd, a platform for sustainable investments.
Fabrizio Tortora, business development director of Falck Renewables, will speak in a panel about how crowdfunding can be used to involve local communities in the development of renewable projects.
In 2021, Falck Renewables launched a crowdfunding campaign with Ener2Crowd to finance the construction of its agrivoltaic plant in Scicli, Sicily.
The campaign – open to residents of Scicli and Sicily, as well as Falck Renewables’ employees in Italy – raised 178,861 euros from a total of 68 investors. The initiative won a "L’Italia che verrà" award from UnipolSai. The Scicli crowdfunding initiative was recognized by UnipolSai for offering local communities the opportunity to contribute to the energy transition and the development of renewables in their area and to share in the value generated by the agrivoltaic plant.
GreenVesting Forum 2022 will be held in Milan at Le Village (Corso di Porta Romana, 61) on 27 October from 5.30 pm to 10 pm.
